Anjali Bhimani Instagram – Have needed time before sharing, but it’s not gonna get any easier to write this, so here goes. My heart is broken into a thousand pieces. The Mayor of Doggo now has an aureate glow. We’ll still sing his song here on Earth while the dogs in Doggo sing it at his daily parade. Because we love him the mostest, the mostest of all.
Oh sweet sweet boy,
From the moment I saw you 15 years ago – little nugget, little man – when you pranced over and into my heart, it was love at first sight. Then, a month or so later when you met your papa, it was love at first sight for him too (even though it took the him and me a while longer for us to realize we were going to be your pawrents together). You healed my heart when it was broken before you, and I know you will heal both mine and Papa Dog’s again from where you are by sending memories to us throughout every day. We’re going to keep working hard to make you proud down here, carrying on the work you inspired us to start with the Puppy Roll in the land of Doggo and with I Am Fun Size and with our writing and our videos and all the plans we had and have to make more together …but most of all, I’m so grateful for the way you taught me to love – to love others and love myself. I’m a better human because of your gentle, insistent love, your licks, your silliness, your cleverness, your snuggles, your derpy tongue, the way your perfect little head fit in the crook of my neck, your tiny paws, and everything you were to me and to us while you were with us in this realm. Please send a sending bone from where you are now and then, even if it’s just in my dreams. When I’m sleeping, and when Papa is too, we can all dream that the pack is back until we all get to snuggle together again.
