I was going to post baby pictures for my birthday, to always remind eachother of our inner child. Of the little children inside of us yearning for love, happiness, support and kindness. I ask myself , would baby Bella be proud? When I look at these baby pictures it reminds me how blessed, lucky and fortunate I am everyday to live the life I do. I never take it for granted because I know there are children the exact same age as I was, living a completely different reality.
I am feeling so grateful today for another year around the sun… for all the love, messages, and the people I get to share life with. You are the ones that made going into my 29th year of life, so humbling and special.
I thank God every day for my family, friends, loved ones, and for all of you who’ve stood by my side through the ups and the downs.
Life isn’t linear, and I’m learning to embrace time as it comes. It’s been hard for the past few years to really celebrate anything, especially a birthday, when there are so many Palestinian families, children, and lives that wouldn’t be able to experience the same.
While we celebrate the hope of an official ceasefire, we also know that true peace & support means rebuilding Gaza to the beauty that it is, and once was. Restoring homes, hope, and the futures of families in Palestine. There’s still so much to do, and every gesture counts.
