Blake Lively Instagram – I saw a beautiful quote along with a well loved child stuffy that said “to be loved, is to be changed forever”. This bunny has been so loved, so purely for so long. She is a family member. So of course, I had to turn her into cake. (As you see the backup bunny which is what the original used to look like, was the inspo. Made by a small female led business in Vancouver called @birdonelephant )
My daughter’s favorite treat is Cinnabon buns, so as I was making a vanilla cake I did a last minute pivot when I got the idea to try to make a Cinnabon bun flavored cake.
I made a cream cheese pound cake (because I wanted the moisture but also the crunchy toasty outside) as two layers of sheet cake but added cinnamon to the batter.
Then I made a cinnamon butter sugar filling like you would for cinnamon buns and used it as icing between the layers of cake along with a homemade cream cheese icing.
Finally, I topped it all off with lots of cream cheese icing.
New. Favorite. Cake.
So. SO. Good.

Also shout out to @lovedbefore_london who takes stuffed animals that would be in land fills and restores them to give them new life, reduce waste, and create joy for the next kid.
