You stop for a break and instantly regret it.
To fix this, the government has launched a new initiative where travellers can upload photos of unclean highway toilets on the RajmargYatra app. If your report is found valid, you’ll get a ₹1000 FASTag recharge as a reward.
It’s a good step to make citizens part of the solution but also a reminder that cleanliness shouldn’t need a campaign; it should be a basic standard.
Here’s how you can report:
1. Download the RajmargYatra app (links below).
2. Open it and enable location access.
3. Tap on Report an Issue.
4. Choose Toilet/Public inconvenience toilets.
5. Upload photos and submit.
6. Once verified, ₹1000 will be credited to your FASTag.
The campaign runs till 31st October 2025, so if you’re hitting the road, try it out.
But should we really need rewards for cleanliness, or should it already be expected?
