Today is World Heart Day and I want to take a moment to talk about my journey with recurrent pericarditis (RP), a chronic heart condition that can last for many years. I’m helping raise awareness about RP because I believe my experience could help others. RP may present in many ways, including as sharp chest pain, shortness of breath, or fatigue. My symptoms were ignored by doctors, and it took several misdiagnoses before I was able to truly understand that I had RP – and I have since learned my experience is common for many other people living with RP. The first step in managing RP is an accurate diagnosis of the condition. I hope to empower others to advocate for themselves in their doctor’s appointments, and a great starting point is downloading a doctor discussion guide that you can take with you into your next appointment. Don’t wait – download the guide today at LifeDisRPtedCarly.com. #WorldHeartDay #KiniksaPartner #ad
