A year ago, I had a tonsillectomy and the only thing that got me through the excruciating pain was Som’s promise: celebratory gelato in Italy.
We have our own way with these little pacts. (We’ve done stupid things like spontaneously travelling to eat an eclair in a city far away before)
One year and far more than just one celebratory gelato in Italy later, I honestly feel richer for it. While this was primarily our gelato pilgrimage, we also discovered countless other incredible new yummies and indulged in so many of our favourites, that this trip has truly become my favourite food journey yet.
