deeply grateful to @substack and my incredible cohost @jessicadefino_ for reviving debate culture. in a time of endless echo chambers, shouting, and vitriol, it felt refreshing to engage in something rooted in curiosity rather than outrage. even on a small scale, it reminded me how powerful structured in-person conversation can be.
my opponent for the night was @thecosmeticgyn and our question was: is labiaplasty empowering?
as the dissenting party, i argued that cosmetic labiaplasty isn’t—and i still stand by that. that said, labiaplasty can be life-changing for people with structural labial issues that make intimacy or sex painful.
