So here’s a little story for you…
When the photographer sent me these photos
After the beautiful @maogeping_official event I just attended,
I remember my reaction being:
Is this really how I look like to others?
You see, growing up, I was the kind of girl
Who thought she wasn’t pretty enough.
My skin wasn’t white enough
My face was too long
My chin too sharp
My nose has a little bump in the middle
If I could have a little less eye white and bigger pupils…
The list goes on and on.
But the older I grew,
The more I liked and embraced the quirks and differences in my face.
It made me…Grace, Chan.
And with that it also made me love the power of makeup
To enhance all those little kinks and details
And accentuate the uniqueness that each person carries
And nothing to me,
Is more beautiful than that.
