The struggle for peace and liberation in Congo is not distant, it’s bound to our shared humanity. For generations, the world has reaped the wealth of Congo’s land while turning a blind eye to the suffering of its people. The silence, the exploitation and the violence have gone on long enough. That needs to end with us.
HERE IS HOW YOU CAN TAKE ACTION 👇🏾:
1️⃣ RAISE AWARENESS: Use your voice, creativity, and platform (whatever size you have). Amplify Congolese Voices.
2️⃣ ENGAGE LEADERS: Demand global accountability through petitions, protests, and political pressure. Don’t let them turn a blind eye to Congo or claim ignorance.
3️⃣ BUY SECOND HAND TECH: Reduce the demand for conflict minerals that fund violence.
4️⃣ SUPPORT GRASSROOTS ORGANISATIONS: Donate to Congolese organisations fighting for justice and empowerment on the ground.
5️⃣ CHALLENGE ANTI-BLACKNESS AND DEHUMANISATION: Ask yourself, why does the world remain silent on Congo? What is happening in Congo is a genoc/de, one of the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, and also one of the most neglected/ignored. There is very little global outrage or coverage on Congo. Liberation requires confronting the global systems, rooted in anti-Blackness, that have allowed Congo’s suffering to be ignored and exploited.
