Greta Thunberg Instagram – SEB blocks our future – we block SEB! 💥

We are here at Sämsta Enskilda Banken’s AGM. They are the worst Swedish bank and a climate killer. Until today, SEB is loaning billions for dangerous fossil fuel projects that are pushing the world into irreversible climate breakdown, while harming people and destroying the living world we all depend on. 
While energy companies and banks post record profits, hard working people in Sweden are struggling to make ends meet. 

SEB hides behind greenwashed sustainability policies, but continues to issue out more dirty fossil loans, therefore threatening financial stability. Financial regulators must use their power to put in place safeguards to rein in irresponsible bankers before the climate crisis spirals out of control and causes more destruction and harm across the world.​​​​​​​

We are here to claim back power over SEB’s irresponsible and dangerous finance for fossil fuels. Either SEB steps up ends its loans and relations to expanding fossil fuel corporations or we will regulate them for the sake of society.

By acting in solidarity with those most impacted in Sweden and abroad, we are building popular support to re-write the rules of the financial system, so that it serves the wellbeing of all of us on a healthy planet.​​​​​

We demand:
1. SEB to not provide new loans to companies expanding fossil fuel activities. 
2. SEB to end all relations with companies expanding fossil fuels activities. 
3. Banking regulations that end financing for fossil fuels to create fair and just conditions for all Swedish Banks.
