The way I will mention in passing I fancy a specific something to eat, you say nothing and just make it and bring it over. The way you can fix anything. The way you braid your own hair in 20 seconds. The way you are always available on the other side of the world for a call or a virtual hug. The way you whip up a roast in 45 minutes. The way you will jump on a train bus boat plane car to get to your kids or your grandchildren in need. The way you home cook everything. You’re endless creativity. Your excitement for life and adventure. How you always use up all my tea bags. The way you holding my hand just calms my nervous system, even now at 37. The way your eyes light up when I say I have cleared out my wardrobe. The way you create the most incredible paintings just casually on a random afternoon. Your cakes. Ugh. The cakes. Your beast mode is unmatched. Your pancakes are also unmatched (Apart from this morning) lol. Your love for a book and bath. Your love for candy crush. Your love for my Dad. 🥹 I could go on and on. You are the best Mum. The kindest and most beautiful human. BUT the one thing I LOVE about you the most. Is how you love Sky. Wow. I get to see how you loved me growing up, watching you love him. And man does he love his Nay Nay. “Mummy bye bye” when Nay Nay is in town. It’s hands down been one of my favourite things about motherhood.
Now go on the train and see Grandad. But come back soon. We adore you.
