Katie Couric Instagram – Dr. Peter Marks, the Food and Drug Administration’s top vaccine official, resigned yesterday after the Department of Health and Human Services told him he needed to quit or he would be fired. Upon his resignation, he said that Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s stance on vaccines was irresponsible and posed a danger to the public.
To the agency’s acting director he wrote, “It has become clear that truth and transparency are not desired by the secretary, but rather he wishes subservient confirmation of his misinformation and lies.” In a subsequent interview he added, “This man doesn’t care about the truth. He cares about what is making him followers.”
