From MTV darling to fearless investigative journalist, Laura Whitmore (@thewhitmore) has never been one for staying silent. Currently starring in the acclaimed stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train and raising her daughter in the good old Irish fashion, the broadcaster and actor is using her platform to speak truth to power. Drawing on her nation’s history of occupation, she believes in speaking up for people who have been silenced. “We can either bury our heads in the sand or admit what’s happening and do something,” she says. With her Irish heritage as her backbone and her voice as her arsenal, Whitmore proves that sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply refuse to look away. Her new investigation series will launch later this year.
