Lauren ‘Lolo’ Spencer Instagram – And who said walking again was at the top of my prayer list? 👀 And who told you that I couldn’t walk at all?! People have no idea how deeply rooted ableism is. That even in church and believers rush to the assumption of the type of prayer/healing a disabled person needs. Now I’m not saying you can’t offer a prayer up for disabled people but if you’re going to walk up and assume that getting out the wheelchair is what I needed to be prayed for – then it’s clearly an assumption because you didn’t even ASK what I might want to be prayed for in the first place. Maybe I’m dealing with something that has nothing to do with my disability ever think about that?
