this carousel is for all the magical female energy behind the making of AYAYAY. having a woman led set and being able to use the making of this music video as the perfect pretext to explore the feeling of infatuation through a female lens was one of the most exhilarating parts of the creative process. collaborating and riffing on all the possible ways we could reflect sensorially how a woman experiences the early thrills of enthrallment in her body offered us all a chance to not only capture that as a performance but ponder on how we could collectively offer ourselves permission to feel more of that bliss in spaces we, particularly as women, are denied or deny ourselves the freedom to! needless to say, we were all blissful fairies on set that day🧚🏽♀️ even the fellas!
Este carrusel es para honrar a toda la energía mágica femenina detrás de la creación de AYAYAY. Tener un set liderado por mujeres y poder usar la creación de este video musical como el pretexto perfecto para explorar el sentimiento de enamoramiento a través del punto de vista femenino fue una de las partes más emocionantes del proceso creativo. Colaborar y experimentar con todas las formas posibles en las que podríamos reflejar sensorialmente cómo una mujer experimenta las primeras emociones del cautivamiento en su cuerpo nos ofreció a todas la oportunidad no solo de capturar eso como una actuación, sino también de reflexionar sobre cómo podríamos ofrecernos colectivamente permiso para sentir más de esa dicha en espacios que a nosotras, particularmente como mujeres, se nos niega o nos negamos a nosotras mismas la libertad de sentir. No hace falta decir que todas éramos hadas felices en el set ese día🧚🏽♀️ ¡incluso los nenes!
