When the pigs blood drops on Carrie, it’s like time slows to a crawl. The spell has been broken, and she isn’t prom queen anymore – she’s the joke. The world, for once, falls silent around her. And then they start laughing.
They’re all laughing at you.
They built you up to tear you down my dear Carrie, just like you always knew they would. And in that betrayal and shame, the clarity of truth finally sets in – they were never going to accept you. You will always just be a pig in a dress to them.
