Strangely, compassion and courage are two of the most underrated values in our world today. Yet, as wars rage on—especially here, with Israel and Gaza at the center—we begin to see just how vital they truly are. Compassion is not weakness; it is the strength to see humanity in the “other” when the world demands division. It is the choice to feel, to understand, and to extend dignity across borders, faiths, and wounds. Without compassion, we dehumanize, and once we dehumanize, peace becomes impossible. Courage, on the other hand, is not only about standing on battlefields—it is about daring to choose peace when anger feels easier, to open dialogue when silence is safer, to extend a hand when history insists we pull away. Courage is the daily discipline of not letting fear write the future. Together, compassion and courage are the bridge between despair and hope. They remind us that wars may define headlines, but they need not define humanity. If each of us practices these values—in small acts and in great causes—we begin to chip away at the cycle of hatred. In a region exhausted by conflict, it is not weapons but compassion and courage that can truly change the story ☘️

In the midst of one of the most crucial and challenging times for our region, we gathered in Israel for the Women’s Champion for Change Conference at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, a convening unlike any other. With rising tensions across the Middle East and North Africa, our very presence was both an act of courage and a statement of purpose. Each of us risked something to be here—our comfort, our safety, even our lives—because we know that silence and fear cannot be allowed to define the future. RAGE, Rage, against the dying of the Light 🕯️🌏🕊️ ⬅️ More to follow, stay tuned. ☘️
HEBREW VERSION.

When will these activists learn the difference between being Detained (knowing they are safe and they will return to their families and homes safe and sound) and being abducted or kidnapped for real? (Not knowing if or when you will return to your home, maybe dead, maybe alive, maybe without hands, legs, abused, raped? While your families wait 729 days and still counting??) FOR REAL?? 😞

At President’s Residence with the First Lady of Israel -Michal Herzog. 🌱My journey is my family’s legacy. From loss to resistance. From Israeli parliament to The presidents residence to peace-building. From darkness to light. We at WCC are proof that terror can break bodies – but never the human spirit.
They are coming home! “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan,” Trump said on Truth Social.
