It was such an immense joy and honor to experience the genius of Fryderyk Chopin’s music and to admire the extraordinary talent of the pianists performing live during the 19th International Chopin Competition. Time truly stood still. The atmosphere at the @warsawphil was incredible — the anticipation before the verdict after the final stage… Gala Concert of the Laureates. Congratulations to all the brilliant artists!
My humble heart was especially captured by @shiori_klavier, @tianyao_lyu, @zitong_wang, and William Yang. The Polish pianists @piotr_alexewicz and @yehudapiano played beautifully as well.
Special congratulations to the winner, the wonderful @ericlupianist — his remarkably modest reaction to the Jury’s decision was deeply touching.
