Malvika Nair Instagram – We envisioned Uttara as a character with idealized features—large, expressive eyes, soft and delicate facial contours, and skin that radiates an inner glow. Malvika Nair was the perfect choice to embody the grace, elegance, and timeless beauty of Uttara.
For her attire, we selected a self-checkered, textured cotton mal, reminiscent of the finest cottons of a bygone era. To enhance its authenticity, we incorporated a pure zari border, seamlessly integrated into the fabric, creating the illusion of a sari woven from a single loom.
When it came to the pleating, we drew inspiration from a vintage portrait of Princess Victoria Gowramma (1822-1865), capturing the essence of royal heritage in the draping style.
For the jewelry, we collaborated with Bajrang Jewellers, carefully curating from their exquisite collection of vintage pieces.
In the end, Uttara emerged as an embodiment of both earthly beauty and divine grace, a true reflection of our vision.
