Mariana Monteiro is an actress with nearly two-decade career embracing roles in television, film, and theatre. Restless and fearless by nature, she continuously seeks new creative challenges, from her acclaimed theater debut in Romeo and Juliet (2020) to her multifaceted performances in A Hora dos Lobos, Projecto Delta, and A Herança.
Beyond acting, Mariana is a passionate advocate for gender equality and youth empowerment. Appointed UN Champion for Gender Equality in Portugal in 2015, she has used her voice and art to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusion. Her books — Mariana num Mundo Igual (2015), Mariana no Caminho da Igualdade (2018), and Pensamentos de uma Mente Inquieta (2021) — reflect her unwavering belief in education, empathy, and equality as tools for change.
As a writer, artist, and activist, Mariana Monteiro embodies the spirit of a restless mind and resilient woman — one who turns creativity into conviction and art into action.

Além da representação, é uma voz ativa pela igualdade de género e empoderamento jovem, tendo sido nomeada Campeã da ONU para a Igualdade de Género em Portugal em 2015.
Autora de três livros, acredita na educação, empatia e igualdade como motores de mudança.
