A little glimpse into the scoring process for my new film that I’m starring in and producing called “Protector” coming out early next year. It’s called “House is a Burnin” that wonderful guy sitting with me, Don Cherel, is composing the score with me and we’re using the song for a scene in a hardware store where there’s music playing on a radio in the background. Since it’s a demo that I never released, I figured just use it for the film because it’s free and we didn’t need to spend any more of our budget on it, but the lyrics are perfect for the film and the thoughts of my character Nicki Halstead. It’s been such an incredible experience I’ve never had before being so involved at this level. Editing, scoring, color grading and overseeing the vfx has been so inspiring and fun. I never thought I’d enjoy the post production process like this, but now I’m hooked. I can’t wait to hopefully do this again on future projects. Obviously we can’t hear the music, just my singing, but it’s a fun BTS look at the film making process. ❤️
