Paige Elkington Instagram – My dearest @rachellynnmatthews interviewed me for @officemagazinenyc , photos by my newest east coast friend @nataliamantini and makeup by @bratmobile1999 ! I haven’t stood in front of a camera in a long while and kind of assumed I’d outgrown whatever enjoyment I used to get from it…but I said yes on a whim and it turned into an easy afternoon at my friend @schmutz_vega’s East Village studio on a perfect May Day. As I’ve gotten older I’ve had to fight these bizarre self-defeating instincts that creep in with age…this urge to step back, make myself so understated, so “age appropriate” that I start to disappear. I don’t like that and I’m trying to push back. More years should hopefully mean more risk, not less.
