You know, Since the day I watched Thuramukham, I wanted to write about Poornima Indrajith from Thuramukham.
What lingers long after watching Rajeev Ravi’s Thuramukham is not just its political depth or its historical weight, but the haunting face of a Umma caught in the whirlpool of time. And, that Umma is played with extraordinary subtlety by Poornima Indrajith. The real wonder lies in how an actress of her depth has left behind so few roles on screen. An actress of such range and honesty in her craft should have been explored far more.
