Curious and clever and full of energy.
This dynamic little being who made me a mom. And with whom I fell so swiftly and deeply in love,
It hurt.
How I sobbed that first night home from the hospital, knowing that one day he’d grow up and move out of the house.
And leave us.
Taking my heart with him.
Twenty.
Really not sure how we got here.
But alas,

The days are long but the years are short.
