Rosamund Pike Instagram – “I have so many endings in my life. But I now know that they’re not endings. They’re just connections that you make. They all come round again,” Glass Magazine’s penultimate cover star reveal, actor Rosamund Pike, tells us.
Glass met Pike in the final week of Inter Alia at the National Theatre, a role that has seen her embody a Crown Court judge torn between truth, motherhood and the illusions we tell ourselves. It is a performance that has moved women to write her letters, bracelets threaded with friendship and solidarity pressed into her hands at the stage door. “There is a potency in the female experience,” she reflects.
From Amy Dunne’s chilling poise in Gone Girl, to the predatory charm of Marla Grayson in I Care a Lot, Pike has long gravitated toward women “at an angle to conventional femininity” – composed, mysterious, and morally complex. Now, as she steps into her next act, from the searing intimacy of Inter Alia to the playful illusion of Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, she is as radiant and restless as ever.
