This trip to the Walbran Valley opened my eyes to the realities threatening these ancient beings, standing in silence on the chopping block. It amazes me that people can look at such wise, intricate systems and see only profit margins. What will we do when there’s nothing left? When the knowledge is lost — synthesized and barren?
