Shizuka Anderson Instagram – Very happy to be the host of NHK World’s “Gunma-Chan’s Treasure Map” segment introducing the adorable kids anime, “Gunma-chan” starring none other than Gunma prefecture’s cutest mascot, Gunma-chan!! ❤️
Gunma-chan is known as one of Japan’s cutest prefectural mascots (if not the cutest?!) and these photos and videos are definitely proof of that I think. 😆❤️❤️
The show will air on NHK World (and online) on the first Friday of every month until March 2026. 🐴✨
The show shares a lot of interesting culture and history from Gunma prefecture (whilst being *incredibly* cute and child-friendly) and I even get to explore the real-world sites featured in each anime episode!! 🗺️
It’s also amazing for anyone learning Japanese because of the easy Japanese used in the show and the English subtitles! ✍️
