My heart goes out to you and my utmost respect to those who conquer and live their life to the fullest despite of the restrictions that come with it. And lastly i am so grateful to all those bloggers who captured and posted their seizures online to inform us and educate us without the fear of judgement or shame , which is intrinsically the theme of our show as well 🙏🙏🙏 it really helped me understand the step by step physiological effects of a developing Grand Mal seizure in detail

A lot of people have asked about this scene. On paper it was simply – “Shivani gets an epileptic attack.” It was @suzannamukherjee who did her research and brought something to the table that even changed the screenplay. The grand mal seizures – where the sense of taste gets distorted, at times becoming metallic right before the seizure, which is why when Shivani tastes the curry, she knows that it’s about to happen and hence she starts preparing for it – “Mujhe palatne mat dijiyega”; that’s because she didn’t want to choke on her own saliva. This rehearsal video that she recorded herself, still gives me chills! Thank you Suzanna, for bringing so much nuance to your performance and making me look like a good director!
