We’ve been divided by politics, by racial misunderstandings, by an education system that teaches our children how different they are — instead of how beautifully Malaysian we all are.

But the arts? They remind us how to feel.
How to connect.
How to be human TOGETHER.
That’s why I said this at the recent Merdeka Award Talk:
It’s time we stop treating the arts like a side dish, as a “nice to have”, and start recognising it as a powerful force for unity, innovation, and healing.
To artists, business leaders, and policy makers: BE BRAVE. Co-create with us.
Because when we uplift the arts, the arts uplift the nation. 🇲🇾✨
