Every setback, every heartbreak,
every failure was never
your ending.
It was the soft rewiring of your soul,
asking you to
rediscover who you truly are.
I’ve learned that no one gets to define me anymore
not my past,
not my pain,
not my reflection in someone else’s eyes.
Because I can rise again,
proud and peaceful,
from the ashes of who I once was.
Here’s to everyone who’s been misunderstood, underestimated,
or broken
you are not your fall.
