Abigail Hawk Instagram – A year ago today, after a seventeen year journey to production, DARUMA released in theaters across the USA and on streaming platforms and went on to become the first film in US cinematic history to star two (now award-winning) actors with disabilities in a narrative not about overcoming disability.
Our team traveled across the country to promote the film that so many of you have been supporting and cheering for way back when we started to put it together in 2018 with a proof of concept starring Tobias Forrest and John W. Lawson. We gradually built our team, adding the incomparable Abigail Hawk to our cast and put the production together during one of the most challenging times in modern history.
We couldn’t have done it without the support of the many, many people who were there for us along the way and just wanted to commemorate today with a little video of our theatrical.
