One of my best friends said to me one day “.. the only time you didn’t love Sol was the sixteen years before you met him.” I laughed, then got lost in the truth of that sentiment. I really have journeyed through the myriad faces and facets of love with @silkyvalente and find myself feeling so blessed with every new layer of learning, living, listening, laughing, lusting, and more that we explore. Life is not promised…and neither is love. Sol is a daily reminder for me of the richness of having both. As I savor the significance of being able to intimately understand the gift I’ve been given nestled in the body and being of Nigel Solomon Walker, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Today, he celebrates his 50th year walking the earth as the sacred son of the dearly departed Barrington and the inimitable gem Shirley Walker. Their finest qualities carved into the core of his character-integrity, humility, spirituality. He has been in perpetual pursuit of growth with intentional efforts aimed at becoming a better version of himself with each passing year. I am honored to bear witness and be partnered with him as #WalkersByFaith along this leg of his journey. He offers such warmth, compassion, care, kindness, consideration, charm, humor, generosity, faith, malleability, and a heart that loves me zownnnnnnnnnn!!! He’s very easy on the eyes and sweetly tender with his touch. His heart for God is our greatest shared asset. He enriches our family, bathes me in prayer, and anchors our marriage immeasurably. I thank God I get to do this life and the next with him. We grow together real bad. It’s a joy most days and a blessing ALWAYS….
