90% were trans women or transfeminine people
88% were Black or Brown trans individuals
34% were sex workers, who remain among the most targeted
These numbers reflect a devastating reality: transphobia is deadly, and it disproportionately affects those at the intersections of race, gender, and economic marginalization.
