On February 10, 2025, HRC laid off 47 frontline workers with just days’ notice, gutting BIPOC trans-led programs while executives keep their six-figure salaries. These layoffs have left dedicated staff without income, healthcare, or stability—all while HRC mismanages millions, spending lavishly on luxury travel, events, and executive perks.
📢 HRC is NOT federally funded. This crisis is entirely self-inflicted, as HRC internally admitted that these layoffs were due to misuse and overspending of funds—as they have exceeded fundraising expectations since 2017. Despite exceeding fundraising expectations, HRC chose to cut essential programs rather than scale back executive salaries.
