Please read ♥️ One year ago today, I underwent my second surgery for Endometriosis. It had returned at stage 3. Recovery took a week in the hospital and months at home—but this excision surgery saved my fertility and dramatically changed my quality of life for the better. I’m usually VERY private about things like this, but I’m passionate about spreading awareness in this case, because I only got my info about endometriosis from Mae Whitman’s brave instagram post years ago. 🥹 thanks Mae. One in ten women have endometriosis. Someone you love has endometriosis. And they may not know their treatment options—in fact, they may have been incorrectly informed by non endo-literate doctors that there’s no help/hope ♥️ There absolutely is. For solid resources, I recommend the book Beating Endo by Dr. Iris Orbuch, and the website for The Center Of Endometriosis Care in Atlanta. If you’re reading this in unbearable period pain, please know you’re not alone. You’re a fighter.
