This Focus Group Discussion brings together Kamila Andini and Hannah Al Rashid to unpack the realities faced by women in the film industry. From everyday discrimination and harmful stereotypes to unsafe work environments often dismissed as “normal”.

As part of JAFF’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity, this session invites filmmakers, audiences, and industry workers to reflect, listen, and imagine safer, more equitable creative spaces together. This is a women-only session to ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for all participants.
