It’s my birthday! and it would mean so much to me if you guys would help me bring awareness to @belovedasheville , a community led nonprofit that centers home, health, equity & opportunity. When Hurricane Helene hit Western NC, BeLoved became a major relief hub, serving 15,000 people per day with food, water, hygiene supplies, and medical support. They conducted wellness checks on elders and families, delivered medicine, and set up water infrastructure to help schools and childcare centers reopen. Not only does BeLoved provide disaster response, their day-to-day work is deeply rooted in equity. They support Black, Indigenous, Latinx, low-wealth people, and other marginalized communities. They run food pantries, build deeply affordable housing, provide transport support, create leadership opportunities, and advocate for systemic change.
