Jacinda Ardern Instagram – It’s always a privilege to represent the Christchurch Call Foundation – this time at the Paris Peace Forum. The main focus of the panels I joined was the rapid growth of artificial intelligence, and the challanges and opportunities this represents. The Christchurch call was founded in 2019 after the horrific domestic terror attack targeting New Zealand’s Muslim community, and the work to end radicalisation, terrorism and violent extremism online is as important now as it’s ever been. In the years since, the call has helped ensure a crisis response model exists for the online world, has created a tool for accredited researchers to research and understand algorithmic outcomes and pathways to radicalisation, and worked on open source tools for platforms of all sizes to prevent them being weaponised.
