Jena Malone Instagram – My darlings
So many new things to share. I’ve been knee deep in creating again. All of a sudden I woke up last year when my son was in 3rd grade and I noticed more time for myself. Maybe it wasn’t even actual time as my days still looked very much the same as a caregiver mother , home keeper and actor hustler… but I did notice a change. My son , in his own bloom state , needed less from me. The world was more his. And I had more emotional space to take on things of my own. My whole body had been screaming to make music again. I took a meeting with a new producer cause I felt like this time I was going to do it differently … it wasn’t the shoe … it wasn’t my old school stuff of the bloodstains … this was me .. in my new shape of motherhood … reclaiming my tongue as an artist. @jamiemsjackson entered the picture and my world blew backwards. A creative powerhouse and deep wild tender of all things human and creational , we hit it off like a house on fire. And we dug in. So deep that I feel we created a new language together. The first little taste of our creations drops this Friday , my birthday 🙂 The song is called “ Create In Your Name”. You can listen to small sample on @qobuz and preorder on Bandcamp today.
