Jena Malone Instagram – Just a short flight north of Vancouver , in the beautiful mountains of British Columbia, is the small town of Enderby, where the Cardiff Miller Art Warehouse resides. To the west of the train track , almost hidden from sight , contains a creative offering that rivals some of the biggest cities Iāve ever traveled too. Itās part museum / part gallery / part immersive art space owned and operated by two of the greatest contemporary artists of this century , Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller. The warehouse displays some of their work, which is thrilling to see all in one space , when your like me and have just been reading about some of these pieces for years and years . They mainly work in sound , binaural sound immersion, where conversation, soundscape and music create physical narratives that come alive in different spaces of the warehouse. You as the viewer are offered a chance to interact with each piece very personally, sometimes itās even your body that triggers the sound, your movement thru each piece changes what you hear, changing the story you get to form. Visiting this space , these artists , this part of the world has been an incredibly inspiring and awe inducing experience for me. Itās wildly worthy of a trek north.
Thank you for letting me into your world up here @janetcardiff @george_bures_miller
