Watching @colin_minihan direct COYOTES was like watching someone thread a needle, walking on a tight rope, over a heard of… well, ferocious, rabid coyotes. When we first met, we all bonded over our love of 80’s & 90’s creature feature movies… the big swings between horror and comedy, the jump scares parlaying into fits of laughter. They are fun to watch, but REALLY hard to make. You have to be totally in control of the story, the cinematic approach, the needle drops, the performances… it takes an obsessive person, a real FAN of movies to take something like this on. And for the actors, it takes trust. “Are we going too far here?? Is this funny or totally ridiculous??” Colin is a visionary. A true partner. A great. Our favorite. We are so honored to have been on his set, to have been a part of a movie in his creative, inspiring, capable hands.
