Katherine Barrell Instagram – I’ve been fascinated by hydroponic gardening for years now. 🪴👩🌾💦I seriously think it’s the future of sustainable farming. 🥗Growing up on my family fruit farm my grandma always grew fresh lettuce and would send me home from visits with bags of it. Once you’ve had fresh, living lettuce you really can’t go back to that slimy stuff in the $7 container.
I’ve been following @lettucegrow since 2020 but their product wasn’t available in Canada – until now!!! Behold my garden tower (which we affectionately call ‘The Spaceship’)!!! Ronin gets to watch his food grow. 👦🏻😋And I get the satisfaction (and excitement) of growing our own delicious salads, year round, packed with nutrients at a fraction of the carbon footprint and long term cost. I estimate I would have spent about $50 on the harvest I got form my first seedlings!!
