So anyway… Finally posting this, 4 months late 😅 After UNITE, I was completely drained — I didn’t even have the energy to post. Looking back now, I just feel so grateful and honored to have been part of it. As a bassist, as a band member, I played with all my heart. This ending is so sick ⚡️ The key goes up a half-step near the end, so the riff is super tricky to play… Open-string-heavy riffs? The meaning of my Kanji “清” I asked AI what English words could describe the Kanji in my name, “清.” It said things like pure, clear, calm, serene, graceful… Well… that doesn’t sound like me at all 😂 I guess I grew up a little differently from what the Kanji expected 😂 But maybe I’ve stayed true to it in some way — living honestly, no lies, being true to myself. A few days before that, I caught Sheila E.’s show at the same venue! She asked the crowd, “Any bass players out there?” so I raised my hand, got up on stage, and played a bit 😆 Totally unexpected… unbelievable!! Got to see 3 incredible shows in just 1 week — best birthday week ever!! Did they all come to Japan just for me? (Yeah, right 😂) Thanks for coming!! ✨✨

Finally saw Foo Fighters live last week!! I’ve always wanted to witness Dave Grohl at least once in my life. On stage, he was pure legend 🔥 The new drummer, Ilan Rubin — turns out he’s the guy from NIN!! Gotta say, what a perfect choice. I honestly thought no one could ever fill Taylor Hawkins’ shoes. Spent 90% of the show watching the drums — mind-blowing ⚡️⚡️⚡️
