I truly believe the reason we liked her was because we recognized her within ourselves. This 24th year of 9/11, I spent the evening with my beautiful friends, the family of SPC Chin Sun Pak Wells, known to her loved ones as “Sunny.” She perished in the attack on The Pentagon. We have had many of these dinners over the years. I cherish each one. America: Never forget! We are one nation! United we stand, tall and strong. (Remember how it felt?) On Veterans Day, I think of my first interaction with wounded Vietnam War veterans, who I visited as Miss World USA. I think of how impactful it was.
