Watching you prepare for this race, witnessing your nerves build up on race morning, seeing how much this race meant to you, made me work harder than I ever have to get you to your goals.
You showed me how deep you could dig when the lights started to dim on those bridges. You overcame every negative thought in your mind and kept going even when you wanted to walk. You taught me that we can all dig deeper, I’ve never witnessed it first-hand like I did with you on Sunday.
You ran 26.2 miles on the hardest course of all the @wmmajors faster than any you’ve done before, and 8 minutes faster than your best @nycmarathon before. That was the stuff of LEGENDS.
