This summer, I had the honor of mentoring an amazing group of young women in NYRR’s Run for the Future; a free, 6-week program that introduces them to running as a powerful tool for empowerment and transformation.
This weekend, I ran alongside my strong and beautiful run buddy Nasia at the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K! Crossing the finish line with her and all these incredible girls was everything. 🥹 Bonus joy? Watching my daughter, nieces, and nephews get out there and run in the youth races that happened at the end of the event.💛
Programs like Run for the Future and other youth races at New York Road Runners, exist because of Team for Kids, which funds free youth and community running programs for kids of all ages and abilities.
That’s why I’m running the 2025 Berlin Marathon with Team for Kids — to help keep programs like this thriving. My goal: $3,000 by Sept 6. Even a small gift can make a big impact. Will you help? Thank you so much in advance!!
