Close to Home was produced by Patrisse Cullors (@osopepatrisse) with filmmaker Whitney Gauge (@whitneyskauge) and filmed during Patrisse’s time as Creative Strategist for the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture (@lacountyarts) alongside the Los Angeles County Homeless Initiative. The film focuses on members of the Youth Advocates from the LA Emissary (@laemissary).
Close to Home is also a Semi-Finalist for the Seattle Film Festival (@seattlefilmfestival) and winner of Best Documentary film at the LGBTQ Toronto & Los Angeles Film Festival (@lgbttorontola).
