Sonu Gowda Instagram – Today, we mourn the loss of Saalumarada Thimmakka, our beloved “Mother of Trees” an environmental warrior who proved that one person’s love and perseverance can truly change the world.
Despite never having a formal education, her extraordinary dedication earned her the Padma Shri, and more importantly, the respect and admiration of an entire nation. Meeting her in person remains one of the greatest honors of my life. Her humility, her gentle strength, and her deep love for the Earth left an imprint on my heart that I will carry forever.
Thank you, Thimmakka, for your selflessness, your vision, and your belief in a greener tomorrow. May your soul rest in peace.
