Sunday, November 9th, was one for the books! I finished my very first half marathon! 13.1 miles!!🏅 The amount of people coming together to cheer you on! With their funny, uplifting posters, music, and nonstop energy! Was absolutely thrilling to experience. I cried three times while running (lol) On the last mile I realized that I was pouring love back into myself in a whole new way. ( that’s when I cried AGAIN) I felt unstoppable, powerful, and like I was healing old wounds with every mile. ✨ Crossing that finish line reminded me how strong the human spirit really is 🍃✨ Oh Yeah!! Cannot forget the runner’s high!! – was on another level 🍄😂😭 – pure magic!!! Thank you @cub_saldana for inviting me to join the @santabarbarahalf !! The best experience ever!

🪶HAPPY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY 🪶 We acknowledge the past and what Native people have had to experience to be here today. So we celebrate the present existence of Indigenous people and all the good medicine they bring to our relatives and to the lands. I’m happy we got to celebrate & run for our indigenous people on an amazing Sunday because I do stand with deep gratitude for our ancestors whose strength carried us through, and for the original caretakers of this land here in California and across Turtle Island — The Indigenous nations who lived, thrived, and honored this place LONG BEFORE COLONIZATION. Today we celebrate not only survival, but resilience, culture, and the living heartbeat of Indigenous people everywhere. May we continue to run with their prayers, walk with their medicine, and honor their presence as the true stewards of this land. I am thankful for @thearmidalopez Thank you @rising_hearts @meldevoney @joselinthewarrior for what you do! & @cipotacoffee @arrozandfun_la for giving us some delicious coffee (It’s from El Salvador 🇸🇻 too 😌) and amazing food after the run!
