You know how some people walk into your life and you just wish they had come sooner? For me, it’s these two. Calling someone ‘family’ is a privilege, not just a word and they are the only two souls I would ever call mine. No matter how messy, hard, stressful, or ugly a day feels, if I get to come home to them or just melt into their hug it all suddenly feels calm. It feels like home.
But 🥺 where were they when I was weathering all those storms alone? Why did they have to take 27 years to reach me? Why didn’t life send them earlier, when I needed them most?
